The Phil  the Fire Engine series has received glowing endorsements from Fire Professionals, Health Care Professionals, Educationalists and Politicians alike. They all agree that Phil the Fire Engine is a great way to help deliver the message. Don’t take our word for it, take a look below!

“As part of our public health strategy we are really trying to get safety messages across to children while they are in our care. We are thrilled to be able to work in partnership with Dave in this way and it is a wonderful way to get across those all important safety messages in a positive way that children will relate to”

Moya Sutton, Executive Nurse, Alder Hey.

“I have written to Cheshire West and Cheshire Council, Halton Borough Council and the Department for Education to ask if they would consider including the books in primary schools.”

Graham Evans MP, Member of Parliament for Weaver Vale

Class 1L at Booker Avenue Infant School  gave Phil and the House Fire a fantastic 8/10. They thought the story was very good and the teacher reported that the story brought about some good discussion including the dangers of smoking.

The children gave Phil and Bonfire Night 7/10. Again the children thought the story was good and they liked the picture of a child using a sparkler safely. All the children enjoyed the books.

Year 1, Booker Avenue Infants School, Liverpool.

“There are good educational and preventative messages within the books which prompt discussion with the children about the circumstances of the fire they were involved in.”

Clinical Nurse Specialist Kevin Riley, Burns Unit, Children’s Hospital, Manchester.

“Thank you for coming to Greenbank School, the children learnt a great deal about fire safety which was obviously the main aim of the day. The children especially enjoyed hearing you tell one of the ‘Phil the Fire Engine’ Stories. They were inspired to make model fire engines and to make their own books about fire safety.”

Beth McPaul, Deputy Head Teacher, Greenbank Primary School, Liverpool.
